Our Annual Report for 2022-23 has been released
The 2022-23 financial year was another successful one for Riverina Water, with a number of achievements across the organisation.
Riverina Water enjoyed a sound financial year in 2022-23 and made only a modest increase to fees and charges of 1.8%, or $10 a year for the average annual water account. This sees water charges for our customers remain as some of the lowest in the state.
We supplied 12,586 megalitres of drinking water to customers - an increase of 220 megalitres on the production figure for 2021-22. We also continued to maintain and improve our infrastructure with more than 8.9km of mains replacements made throughout the network.
Once again we received outstanding customer survey results. Over 800 customers from our supply network gave feedback 2022-23 and rated Riverina Water highly for customer service and water quality. Eighty per cent of customers who contacted Riverina Water reported being able to resolve their issue on the same day of contact. Our complaints rate of 6.68 per 1000 properties remains below the NSW state median of 7.19.
In 2022-23, we endorsed and began implementing our new Community Engagement Strategy to support the residents who are at the centre of everything that we do. This included providing financial support to organisations across our four constituent councils under our donations program, with more than $77,000 in provided to 26 events, organisations and initiatives in 2022-23. We also continued our popular drinking water refill station program across our supply area.
