Funding allocations for each Council in Riverina Water’s supply area are $40,000 for Wagga Wagga City Council, and $20,000 each for Lockhart Shire, Greater Hume and Federation.

Riverina Water is offering $100,000 in funding for projects that enhance the social, cultural, and environmental life for people within our supply area.

Applications are now open for Riverina Water’s Enriching Communities grants program, with eligible groups, clubs and organisations able to apply for a maximum $20,000 each.

“Our refreshed grants program is an integral part of our new Customer and Community Engagement Strategy and our commitment to do more than supplying water,” CEO Andrew Crakanthorp said.

“We want to enable our region to thrive and enrich the lives of the people who call the Riverina home.

“Grant applications can cover any of our key objective areas – community, health and wellbeing, water conservation and education, arts and culture and sustainability and the environment.

“Applications for the Enriching Communities program are open until 23 October. I strongly encourage eligible groups and clubs to take advantage of this opportunity and help us support your community project or initiative.”

Riverina Water has held three previous grants programs, making a variety of projects possible such as upgrades to community facilities, sporting infrastructure, multicultural art projects and First Nations programs.

Funding allocations for each Council in Riverina Water’s supply area are $40,000 for Wagga Wagga City Council, and $20,000 each for Lockhart Shire, Greater Hume and Federation.

“Our network stretches over four local government areas, going from north of Wagga to Humula, down to Woomargama, across to Oaklands and up to Morundah,” Mr Crakanthorp said.

“We have specific funding pools set aside for each council area in our supply boundary, so communities of all sizes can benefit from this program.”
