Apply now for grants funding

Riverina Water is offering $100,000 in funding to support projects that strengthen community, celebrate culture, and care for the environment and water.
Applications are now open for the Riverina Water Grants Program, with eligible groups, clubs and organisations able to apply for $5,000 or $10,000 grants.
“This program is part of our ongoing commitment to doing more than supplying water,” Chairperson Cr Tim Koschel said.
“We’re proud to support projects that make our region a better place to live, work and play; whether that’s upgrading vital community spaces, celebrating our culture, or protecting and conserving water and the environment.”
Applications must align with at least one of the program’s priority areas:
- Caring for Country & Water: projects that conserve water, restore environments or build resilience.
- Connected & Inclusive Communities: projects that enhance community facilities, wellbeing and participation.
- Culture, Creativity & Place: projects that enable creative expression and celebrate identity and diversity.
The program is open to applications from organisations in Riverina Water’s supply area across the Wagga Wagga, Lockhart, Greater Hume and Federation local government areas. $40,000 of funding is available in Wagga Wagga, and $20,000 each in the three regional councils.
Previous grants have supported a wide range of community initiatives including facility upgrades, sporting infrastructure, multicultural art projects and First Nations programs.
Applications close 11.59pm Sunday 12 October 2025.
