Bushfire affected residents - Oberne
on Friday, 24 January 2020. Bushfire affected residents - Oberne
Following the recent bushfires in the region, Riverina Water has created an emergency water relief program to assist residents who are experiencing water tank contamination
Who is eligible?
Residents within the Oberne area who are not connected to the Riverina Water supply and are reliant on tank water for their drinking and domestic supply. Residents not in this area that have had their access to water impacted by bushfire should contact Riverina Water to see what support can be made available.
How are we helping?
Riverina Water will provide up to 15,000 litres of potable water and water cartage to replenish the water tanks of eligible residents. This can be redeemed once per property, and the water must be for domestic and drinking supply.
It is our intention to roll out this initiative as soon as possible and provide clean water at no charge to you over the coming weeks.
Riverina Water has also donated the cost of a new water 25,000l tank for Oberne Hall, along with covering the cost of cartage and water to fill it.
What do I need to do?
Please register for the emergency water relief program by contacting Riverina Water’s Community Engagement Officer Joshua Lang:
