Draft Expenses Policy for Councillors

Under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1993 Council is required to review and adopt its Policy for the Payment of Expenses and Provision of Facilities to Councillors each year. Section 253 of the Act also requires that public notice of the proposed adoption of the policy be given.
The proposed policy now on public exhibition and may be viewed at council's offices at 91 - 93 Hammond Ave., Wagga Wagga, during normal business hours until Friday 8th of August 2014. Copies can also be obtained from Council's website at rwcc.com.au.
Under the provisions of the privacy and personal information act 1998 any comments about this proposal that contains information that is personal, such as information that identifies you etc., will form part of council's document management system.
The purpose of collecting this information is to assist Council and obtain the views of the residents of the county area. The information may also be made available to third parties in accordance with the relevant legislation.
The submission of personal information with your comments is voluntary, but if not provided, may affect consideration of such comments
